Winterfest White Party presented by City & Shore Magazine Hosted by W Fort Lauderdale.

November 6   6 – 9:00 p.m.

Epicurean delights created by e-brands with tantalizing highlights from Timpano’s, Samba Room and W Fort Lauderdale. Be a part of the media glitz as Winterfest kicks off the Holiday Season. Musical performances highlight the parade’s theme throughout the evening at this exclusive party for sponsors, media partners and select Winterfest guests. Jewelry from Carroll’s Jewelers. South Florida Fire Fighter Calendar Men, Unveiling of this year’s poster. Entertainment by Sixth Star. Call for details on special room rates for this event and the parade.

Winterfest Fantasy Boat Student Art Contest In cooperation with AT&T and McKinley Financial

Deadline is November 10    Targeted to students in grades 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Winner’s artwork will grace the inside pages of the AT&T Yellow Pages.

All winners’ will receive an invitation to a Winners’ Reception.

Winterfest Decorating Seminar On the Winterfest Website and Comcast “On Demand”

Visit the Winterfest website for how-to tips on decorating for parade entries and shoreline residents alike. Learn how to transform your home, condominium, business, dock or boat into a Wonderland or Rock Concert. Watch for televised Seminars featured on Comcast “On Demand.”

Awards Luncheon/Cocktail Reception

November 20 -  Shot Gun start at 9 am

Winterfest Family Day on the Lawn

November 29     12 - 4 p.m.  Hosted by Riverside Hotel.

Enjoy FREE family activities outdoors within a Norman Rockwell ambiance. Croquet, lawn bowling, tea party, antique car show and more. Discounts for the Norman Rockwell exhibit at the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale.

Southern Wine & Spirits Winterfest Black Tie Ball in association with Patron

December 5   Reception 6 -8 p.m.   

Dinner and Dancing 8-midnight Hosted by the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino The Ball is the most elegant of our festivities and by far the highlight of Fort Lauderdale’s social season. Enjoy the JM Lexus Welcome Reception as you bid on packages in the Fidelity Investments Silent Auction from 6:00- 8:00pm. The Auction features over 250 items to choose from. A live auction takes place inside the ballroom with items such as a 2010 JM Lexus IS 250, Wine Estate Vacation and a shopping spree from Carroll’s Jewelers. Bid on weekend vacations, dinner at your favorite restaurant, sports memorabilia, fine art, collectibles and much more. Enjoy wines, champagne and spirits. Captain’s Meeting

December 7    6 – 8 p.m.   

Hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino   This is a mandatory meeting for all Boat Parade participants to receive line-up information, rules and regulations for the parade. West Marine Goodie bags featuring Star Brite products and other great items. CAPTAINS ONLY.

 

 

Shoreline Decorating Extravaganza presented by Universal Property and Casualty Insurance Co.

December 10 -   6-10 p.m.

This festive event encourages the shoreline community to show their holiday spirit while creating a beautiful backdrop for the Boat Parade. Cruise aboard the M/Y Grand Floridian and view all the beautifully decorated homes & businesses along the New River in Downtown Fort Lauderdale to the Intracoastal Waterway ending at Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach along the Parade Route. NO TICKETS are available for sale aboard this luxury yacht.

Grand Marshal Reception 

December 11    6 – 8 p.m.   

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino This Winterfest Celebration welcoming our 2009 Grand Marshal includes dignitaries and celebrities who join us to celebrate. Winterfest style. RECEPTION BY INVITATION ONLY. This fabulous reception is the prelude to the parade. Many local VIP’s, dignitaries, sponsors will be on hand to welcome this year’s celebrity Grand Marshal. Fort Lauderdale’s Mayor, Jack Seiler, will give the Grand Marshal a key to our beautiful city and Riverwalk, Inc. will present a brick in his/her name(s) for the Riverwalk Celebrity Walk of Fame on the banks of the staging area of the Parade.

 

 

Winterfest VIP Viewing Area

December 12      5:30-9:30 p.m.    

Hosted by The Riverside Hotel

The most prestigious location to watch the Winterfest Boat Parade! Close to  400 community leaders, dignitaries and Winterfest Sponsors will enjoy the ambiance of the Riverside Hotel located moments from the beginning of the parade route.  This event includes a magnificent buffet and cocktails. The area is also host to the television show and our boat parade judges. This area is Winterfest’s way of saying thank you to all of our Board of Directors and Sponsors. By invitation only.

 

 

Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade  

December 12     6:30 p.m.

Starting on the New River in Fort Lauderdale and traveling to the Intracoastal north to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach

The 38th Annual Boat Parade will stage on the New River along the docks west of Stranahan House to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The Parade travels East to the Intracoastal Waterway as it continues North to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach. This year’s theme, “That’s Entertainment” embraces the beauty of our waterways with the music and excitement of every era. From the vast numbers of private boats to the giant showboats and corporate megayachts, the 100 parade entrants, will be adorned with hundreds of thousands of lights, music, entertainment, decorations, celebrities, musical groups, beauty queens and many other exciting entries expected to be viewed by over one million spectators. Parade highlights: the SmartLife Grand Marshal Showboat (Grand Floridian), Patron Showboat, Florida Panther’s Ice Skating Rink, and the Santa Showboat. Boat entries are now being accepted. FREE viewing along the parade route. If you don’t want to miss a single entry – find your spot East of the Stranahan House.

February 18, 2010      6 – 8 p.m.

Hosted by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center This event will honor all the winners of the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade and the Shoreline Decorating Extravaganza presented by Universal Property and Casualty Insurance. This wrap up party recognizes parade entries, decorated home and business owners, corporate sponsors, board of directors, and Winterfest supporters. One lucky winner win for the People’s Choice Award. Remember to vote for your favorite decorated home or parade entry by visiting the Winterfest website – by voting – you are saying thank you to those that went the extra mile to become a winner!
