WINTERFEST STUDENT ART CONTEST RULES:

1.Entrees are open all school age children, grades 3rd, 4th and 5 th, in Broward County, (Private, Public & Home schooled).
2. All drawings must be original, unpublished artwork submitted on 11 x 17 horizontal sheet of WHITE paper. PLEASE USE BRIGHT – VIVID COLORS using colored markers, crayons, pencils and/or cut-outs from colored paper.
DO NOT USE GLITTER OR MATALLIC  paints or markers.
DO NOT USE NEON paints, markers or paper. If glitter, metallics or neon are used – your drawing will not be accepted.
On the back of the drawing ­ please attach this form. ALL Information on the entry form must be filled in for the entry to be judged.
3. Drawings are to depict a boat the child has seen in the parade or one they wish would enter the parade. The drawing must not have any wording on it.  For ideas of past parade entries - please visit www.WinterFestParade.com.
4. All artwork is to be submitted to Winterfest, Inc. (512 Northeast 3rd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301) by NOVEMBER 2, 2009 The drawings will be pre-judged on NOVEMBER 5, 2009 with a final judging by November 10th. The judges will be Winterfest Media and Art representatives (such as ArtServe, WSVN Channel 7 and SunSentinel. All artwork will NOT be returned.
5. BAPCO receives full ownership and rights to drawings of the published winners. All entries can be used for promotional purposes by Winterfest, Inc., Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, The Real Yellow Pages® from AT&T, McKinley Financial Services and ArtServe.
6. Artwork must be free of any copyright laws (cartoon and/or realistic images). Unauthorized use of any image covered by copyright law will disqualify the artwork from being submitted into the contest.
7. Winners will be contacted on or before January 15, 2010. ALL PARTICIPANTS and their parents will be invited to attend an Opening Reception announcing the 2009 Broward County, (Ft. Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Hollywood & Pompano) drawings that will be printed in The Real Yellow Pages® from AT&T on a date to be determined in March 2010.
8.  All entries become the property of The Real Yellow Pages® from AT&T
(BAPCO) and Winterfest, Inc. and can be used in their promotional materials, i.e. brochures web site.
9.  The winning drawing will be chosen based on creativity in the reflection of Winterfest.  If not chosen as a winner, Winterfest is not required to disclose reason(s) for non-acceptance. A list of winners will be on the Winterfest website.

10.  No purchase necessary. Employees of Winterfest, Inc., Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, The Real Yellow Pages® from AT&T, ArtServe, McKinley Financial and the immediate family members of such employees are not eligible to participate. For a complete list of rules, call (954) 767-0686.
11. Parent/Guardian must acknowledge the above stated rules and sign release of artwork to be eligible for contest.
